SizeGuide ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the SizeGuide browser extension and web application at trysizeguide.com.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your measurements or sizing information with third parties for advertising purposes.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us:
- Account information — your email address and password (stored as a secure hash) when you register
- Body measurements — sizing data such as height, weight, chest, waist, hip, and inseam measurements that you enter to create sizing profiles
- Sizing profiles — named profiles you create to store measurement data
- Purchase and feedback history — size recommendations you accept, ratings, and fit feedback you provide
- Shared profiles — measurement data in profiles you choose to share with others via a link
We also collect information automatically when you use the extension:
- Page content — product names, descriptions, and size charts from the clothing retailer pages you visit, used solely to generate a size recommendation for that session
- Usage data — general analytics about how features are used, to improve the product
How the Browser Extension Works
When you activate SizeGuide on a clothing retailer's product page, the extension reads visible product information (title, description, size options, and any size chart on the page) and sends it to our server along with your stored measurements. Our AI model uses this data to generate a size recommendation, which is then displayed to you in the extension popup.
Page content is processed in real time for the sole purpose of generating your recommendation. We do not store browsing history or the URLs of pages you visit.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To generate AI-powered size recommendations
- To store your sizing profiles for use across sessions and devices
- To improve recommendation accuracy based on your fit feedback
- To enable the sharing of sizing profiles with friends and family when you choose to do so
- To communicate with you about your account or service updates
- To operate, maintain, and improve SizeGuide
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your data only in these limited circumstances:
- AI processing — product page content and your measurements are sent to OpenAI's API to generate recommendations, subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy
- Shared profiles — if you generate a shareable sizing profile link, anyone with that link can view the measurement data in that profile
- Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SizeGuide, our users, or others
Data Retention
Your account and sizing profile data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@trysizeguide.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage of passwords and HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
SizeGuide is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Export your data in a portable format
